Practice Areas: Health Law Representation of health insurers and HMOs in a variety of actions brought by the Texas Department of Insurance involving regulation, supervision insolvency and receivership. We have also represented officers and directors of HMOs in private litigation filed by health care providers, creditors and third parties. Our work in this area includes efforts to protect the parent corporation from liability associated with an insolvent Texas subsidiary, representation in injunctive action brought by the state, and defense of former officers and directors in both civil and criminal enforcement actions alleging false reporting or manipulation of financial records.
